Safely Run VSD Craft Without False Alerts

Safely Run VSD Craft Without False Alerts

In some Windows environments and with certain third-party antivirus tools, VSD Craft may be incorrectly flagged as a threat.

This is typically a false positive, not an actual security issue.

1. Common Reasons for False Positives

• Missing or Invalid Digital Signature

Software downloaded from unofficial sources (e.g., “green” portable versions or modified installers) may lack a valid digital signature, causing security tools to flag it.

• System-Level Operations

If the software accesses system directories or modifies configurations, some antivirus programs may misinterpret these actions as risky behavior.

2. How to Verify the Software Is Safe

Please ensure your installer is downloaded from:

✔ The official VSDinside website

✔ A trusted and verified distribution channel

If you are unsure of the source, do not proceed with installation.

3. Solutions for Windows Systems

(1) Temporarily Disable Windows Defender Real-Time Protection

If you trust the installer, you may temporarily disable protection:

Path:

Settings → Update & Security → Windows Security → Virus & Threat Protection → Manage Settings

Turn off:

Real-time protection

Cloud-delivered protection

⚠ Important: Re-enable all protection after installation.

(2) Add VSD Craft to the Exclusion List

Go to Virus & threat protection → Manage settings → Exclusions

Add the installation directory of VSD Craft

Check “Exclude all files in this folder”

This prevents future blocks.

(3) Install in Safe Mode (Optional)

If installation is still blocked:

Restart PC → Settings → Update & Security → Recovery → Advanced startup

Boot into Safe Mode

Run the installer again

Safe Mode loads fewer security components, reducing false positives.

(4) Check for Windows Updates

Some updates may reset Defender settings or re-enable protection features.

Ensure:

Your system is up to date

Tamper Protection is not unexpectedly turned on

4. macOS: “App is Damaged” Warning

If macOS reports the app as damaged, run:

xattr -cr /Applications/VSD\ Craft.app

Then reopen the application.

5. Important Notes

Disabling antivirus protection reduces security—restore it immediately afterward.

Avoid cracked, modified, or unofficial versions—these may carry real risks.
