Tutorial｜How to Set Up the “Open” Function

The Open function is one of the most fundamental and powerful features of our devices.
It allows you to launch predefined tasks with a single key press, helping you work faster and more efficiently.
With the Open function, you can:

Open websites instantly

Launch desktop applications

Open files, folders, or execute apps with parameters
This feature is ideal for creators, streamers, and productivity users looking for a StreamDeck alternative or a macro keyboard workflow.

UI interactions may vary slightly depending on the device model.
This tutorial uses M3 as an example.
Note:
Open actions included inside certain plugins (such as Open Note in the Notes plugin) are not covered in this guide.
Types of “Open” Actions
The software provides three different Open-related actions to suit different use cases.
Website
The Website action allows you to quickly open a specific URL, such as a frequently visited webpage or an online tool.
Open an App
The Open an App action launches applications installed on your computer, such as Discord, OBS, Photoshop, or other productivity software.
Open (Advanced)
The Open action is a more flexible option that uses absolute file paths.
It can open files, folders, executable programs, and even launch applications with parameters for advanced workflows.
How to Set Up the Open Function
All Open actions are located in the right-side toolbar of the software interface.
Website Setup

Drag Website into the key configuration area, or double-click to add it

Select the action and enter the target URL in the property panel
Tip: The software will attempt to fetch the website favicon automatically.
If it fails, you can manually replace the icon.
Open an App Setup

Drag Open an App into the key configuration area

Select the target application from the dropdown list
Notes:

The software scans installed applications, which may cause brief lag

If an app does not appear in the list, drag the app shortcut directly into the configuration area
Open (Advanced) Setup

Drag Open into the key configuration area

Enter the absolute path in the APP/File field

(Optional) Use the Arguments field to pass parameters for advanced use cases
This option is recommended for users familiar with file paths and application arguments.
