VSD Stream Dock Connection Issues

 

For VSD stream dock connection problems, you may refer to the following solution:


1. VSD Craft Version
Verify if you downloaded the latest version of VSD Craft from VSD’s official website(the latest version of VSD Craft adds one-click updates for both the software and device firmware in the settings.)

2. Make sure VSD Craft is running.
The device only works right if VSD Craft is active.

3. Check the USB port connection

For VSD M18:
Check if the connection is secure. If the USB cable is loose when connected to the VSD M18, this may cause the device to receive power only without successful data transfer.

For VSD N4 Pro:
Verify that you're using the PC-labeled USB port on the VSD N4 Pro (this port provides power to the device). The other 3 USB 3.0 ports are powerless hub ports designed for connecting peripherals like mice, keyboards, and USB drives.

4. Insufficient device power and data transfer issues
Verify if you’re connecting your computer and the VSD N4 Pro via a USB hub or via the front ports of your computer tower or monitor ports. If so, disconnect and connect directly to your computer with a USB cable to test.

5. USB cable quality issues
Test with a different USB cable. If replacing the USB cable resolves the connection issue, we'll provide a corresponding refund for the defective cable.

6. Try another computer/laptop

Test the device on a different computer to rule out system-specific issues. If the device connects and works normally on another computer, open the latest version of VSD Craft, click on Settings > Device > Update Firmware > Update. This will typically resolve connection issues. Then test if it works properly on your original computer.

 

If none of the above methods work or some test steps are impractical to complete, refer to the following additional troubleshooting solutions (engineer assistance required).



7. Provide us(send me a DM or submit directly to support@vsdinside.com) with detailed information: please provide: Your order number Computer specifications (OS version, hardware details) Device logs (VSD Craft > Settings > General > Open application folder > Logs folder.

8. Download USB monitoring tool and the corresponding instruction manual from VSD official website(https://www.vsdinside.com/pages/download). Use the tool to monitor the USB port( which connected to VSD N4 Pro) activity, then send corresponding abnormal USB data to us. We will consult our engineers to verify the issue.

9. Remote Technical Support (Optional)
If you’re willing to work with our engineer for remote troubleshooting, we’ll arrange for an engineer to assist with the resolution via a Zoom meeting.
