🧩Stream Dock Not Connecting / Unstable Connection? Complete Troubleshooting Guide (Bookmark This!)

Hey everyone,

Ā

A lot of users have reported issues likeĀ Stream Dock not connecting to the computer, randomly disconnecting, or VSD Craft not detecting the device.

Ā

I’ve put together a clear, Reddit-friendly troubleshooting guide (from easiest to hardest).

Ā

This should cover 90% of the cases. Hope it helps!

Ā

šŸ” 1. Basic Checks (Where 80% of Issues Come From)

Ā

āœ… ā‘  Check the USB cable & port (most important!)

Ā

• Unplug and re-plugĀ the USB-C cable (make sure it’s fully inserted)

Ā

• Try a different USB port → Prefer the USB 3.0 ports on the back of your PC → Avoid USB hubs, docks, and front-panel ports

Ā

• Try a different USB-C cable

Ā

ā—¦ Many phone charging cablesĀ do not support data

Ā

ā—¦ Use the original cable or a USB-C cable that supportsĀ data + fast charging (33W+)

Ā

šŸ–„ 2. Check the Stream Dock Itself

Ā

āœ… ā‘” Does the screen light up?

Ā

• If the screen lights up but software doesn’t detect the device → check if VSD Craft is running

Ā

• If the screen stays black → could be a power or hardware issue

Ā

āœ… ā‘¢ Press some buttons

Ā

If the screen responds (turns on/off), the device is functioning.

Ā

āœ… ā‘£ Restart your computer

Ā

Never underestimate how many issues this fixes.

Ā

šŸ§‘ 3. Software & System Settings

Ā

For both Windows & macOS

Ā

šŸ”§ ⑤ Check if VSD Craft is running properly

Ā

• Try running it asĀ administrator (Windows)

Ā

• Uninstall → download latest versionĀ from the official website → reinstall

Ā

• Make sure ā€œemulator modeā€ or similar options areĀ notĀ enabled

Ā

macOS Users (Very Common Issue)

Ā

macOS will pop up:

Ā

Ā

⚠ You MUST click Allow.

Ā

If you clicked ā€œDon’t Allowā€ or didn’t get the prompt:

Ā

Go to:

Ā

System Settings > Privacy & Security > Accessibility

Ā

→ FindĀ VSD Craft

Ā

→ Make sure it’sĀ checked

Ā

If it’s locked, click the padlock to unlock first.

Ā

Windows Users (Driver Issues)

Ā

šŸ”§ ā‘„ Check Device Manager

Ā

SearchĀ ā€œDevice Managerā€Ā ā†’ open it

Ā

Look for:

Ā

• Any yellow exclamation marks

Ā

• ā€œUSB Composite Deviceā€ or unknown USB devices

Ā

Try:

Ā

• Right-click → Update driver

Ā

• If that fails → Uninstall device, then unplug and reconnect the Stream Dock to reinstall drivers automatically

Ā

šŸ›  4. Advanced Troubleshooting (Conflicts / System Issues)

Ā

ā— ⑦ Close software that may cause conflicts

Ā

Such as:

Ā

• Logitech G Hub

Ā

• Razer Synapse

Ā

• Other keyboard/mouse control software

Ā

• Antivirus or firewall tools

Ā

These can sometimes take over HID channels and block the Dock.

Ā

ā— ā‘§ Test on another computer

Ā

• If itĀ works on another PC → your original system has driver or software conflicts

Ā

• If itĀ doesn’t work on any PC → likely a hardware or cable issue

Ā

šŸ†˜ 5. Still Not Working? Contact VSDinside Support

Ā

Go to:

Ā

VSDinside official website → Support

Ā

Provide:

Ā

• Your Stream Dock model

Ā

• Your OS version (Windows/macOS)

Ā

• All troubleshooting steps you've already tried

Ā

• Screenshot of Device Manager (if there’s an error)

Ā

If your device is still under warranty, they may offer repair or replacement.

Ā

šŸŽÆ Final Notes

Ā

Most connection issues come fromĀ USB cables, USB ports, macOS permissions, or Windows drivers.

Ā

Follow these steps in order and you’ll usually find the cause quickly.

Ā

If you get stuck at any step, feel free to post here—I or others in the community can help troubleshoot.
